| spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | This document corresponds to the necessary context to initiate a management consulting project, in which the academy is linked to the real sector, generating a process of accompaniment that seeks to contribute to small and medium enterprises in different sectors of industry. For this purpose, a search of scientific literature was carried out with two fundamental objectives: first, to review the conceptualization that has been made of management consulting itself, and second, to find the challenges it has had to face throughout its evolution to fulfill its essential purpose of contributing to the welfare of organizations. It was found that it is a relatively young concept in the field of management, how it has been perceived during the last decades, and the main challenges it must face in its implementation, because although it has been demonstrated that business consulting generates important contributions, it has also been discussed about its lack of professionalization, the vision of it as a business service and the lack of consensus regarding its conceptualization. | spa |
