This study describes actions and linguistic productions in adult – preschool child shared reading interactions in the city of Chía, Colombia, in search of the emergence of children initiative actions and linguistic acts during this interaction. It analyzes six (6) videotaped and transcript shared reading interactions between adult and children from 3- to 6-years old taken in the Cityhall Bookfair, and 2405 adults’ and children’s interventions in those dyadic interactions.
